SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Sylvia Opiyo is an Associate Professor of chemistry in the Department of Physical and Biological Sciences at Murang’a University of Technology, where she has been since 2017. She is currently serving as Acting Dean, School of Pure, Applied and Health Sciences. Professor has a keen focus in teaching cutting edge science within sub Saharan Africa and beyond, and in particular, the advancement of research and knowledge in Analytical chemistry, Organic chemistry and Natural Products Chemistry. She has published over 45 academic research papers in peer reviewed international journals. She has also supervised students both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
